Isn't morning television amazing?  Check out all the major networks and  instead of finding out  what is happening in the real world, you will experience the latest "entertainers" and you will without a doubt enjoy pictures about your favorite Hollywood stars and their children, who by the way if you look, can in no way compare to yours.  Yours are normal!

Then if you are brave enough, turn to such programs as presented by MHZ  (Usually on Public Television or the INTERNET) and find out what is really going on in the world.  You will quickly see the difference and will also  notice how the major TV networks in the United States have a prejudice against the Republican party and their candidates.  (If you want to know about me I am actually a registered Democrat, but what is evident cannot be sugar coated because it is a betrayal of what the news media is supposedly all about.)

How about all those so called reality shows on television---how long do we have to endure that as well as all those programs where some mean spirited so called expert judges kick people off the program and choose the latest idols or survivors.  If this is all Americans like, we are in real trouble.  It is a case where enough is too much!

How about those atheists who declare that God is irrelevant because they say that He is?  What a joke.  They quote how well science has disproved the existence of God...but yet the fact is most scientists believe in God.  There are those scientists who think that they can by using a mathematical formula explain everything.  They talk about pre-existent matter and forces as if they are eternal, bu when faced with the absolute logic of the DNA sequence they are stumped because there is no way that such logic could "evolve."  Logic takes intelligence.  At any rate, when scientists think that they finally know it all, along comes something new like dark matter or dark energy or the sting theory.

In other words, it is time for people to wake up and to see what is happening in the world because there are those who have an agenda that you may not like or one that certainly will in no way benefit you.  But you must also have an agenda of your own.  The world is filled with to many drone bees who simply exists for one purpose and that is to breed and keep alive the current "ism."  So watch your morning television shows and be entertained  (the trashy things of Hollywood is entertaining?)  by the frivolous, and the world wil pass you by if not trample over you.

Pennsylvania does not tax Pensions

Pennsylvania also does not tax lottery winnings.  If you win the Mega Millions in  Pennsylvania, all you would have to do is pay Federal Tax.  Yet some in Pennsylvania are calling for the state to tax pensions.   They claim that it is unfair.  They claim that it will wipe out deficits and do all kinds of things that can benefit the state --well we all know how that works.  If pensions were taxed, the general fund would see  more money "raised" for the "poor" and those who feel they are "entitled" to services.
The fact is that many of these people receiving "aid"  will never work nor have a pension.  They live off the state and everyone else's money in the first place.  In every state there are people who are "generational"  in their entitlements and they know how to bleed the system, which is the real problem that is not addressed since these "generational free loaders" vote.   There are many who are deserving of help and there are poor and ill and elderly people who have genuine needs.  
Some people choose to live together and have multiple children and they receive thousands of dollars in support -- far more than most pensioners make -- and they still whine and think they are entitled to more, despite the fact that they receive free and low income housing.  Many of them are young which makes the entire thing disgusting.  Yet they have money for other things and often buy drugs and booze or go to casinos with the money that is supposedly for necessities for their children.  They will never pay any income tax -- for generations.
Some in Pennsylvania want to now tax pensions.  What a unique state in a time when all other states are money grabbers and the money is wasted on so many so called "important"  and "necessary" entitlements.  Taxing the pensions of the elderly who have worked so that there could be entitlements in the first place is not the answer.  They  (whoever is behind this move to tax pensions)  know that but they want "more."   After all, they are entitled to it and  the rest of society ends up taking care of many who sadly are irresponsible in the first place and who have a long history of making everyone else pay for their "living."  But politicians like votes and power and whatever else can keep them in office.

Idiotic acceptance of Obama Care

Too many Americans believe that they have certain things to which they are entitled even if they have not had to pay for them. This leads to widespread abuses such as in the "public welfare" area.  Many Americans do not care who pays for their entitlement as long as the government doles it out and makes them happy.  That is not to say that some people deserve help and   the government has an obligation to aid them.
Enter Obama care.  In an effort to "provide" medical coverage for a few million additional people, drastic cuts are being made to programs such as Medicare and yes grandma will eventually be told to attend a seminar on how to end her life early.  Do most Americans know that in the so called affordable health care bill there is a provision that if one has a transaction regarding gold it has to be reported to the federal government?  Now that is health care at its best.  But people are stupid and willing to give up freedoms  just so they  can have their entitlements.
The real problem has never been addressed.  Why is health care out of control -- it is not because doctors are sued for mal-practice.  It is because of greed like so many other things in America. It is much the same with oil and how the speculators have had their way in the stock and commodity market and businesses that the American people bailed out.  No one seems to care nor do they do anything about it.
Just give me my entitlements and go away.  So what if the government tells me what to wear and how to speak and what to eat and where to go and what  kind of car to drive and where to send my kid to school...I don't care --just give me what I deserve.  It is my entitlement and I want it.  Let future generations sort it out.  Maybe the Chinese will do it for us.

Sad State of American Television Programming

I usually view TV using a HD antenna.  I became really tired of paying huge sums of money to cable and satellite providers who forced me to take the programming they thought that I deserved, along with 30 shopping only channels and as many music channels.  I considered that most of their staffs voted on what people should watch with a plurality of ignorance.
I watch the main  networks, NBC, CBS, CW and ABC (out of the Pittsburgh, PA and Youngstown, Ohio areas)  as a rule. All I can say is thank goodness for remotes.  It makes it easy to turn them off.  How many times a day do we have to watch Judge Judy, followed by Judge Tom,Dick, and Harry, and then Quick Justice  followed by even quicker justice.  Then there is "let's get a divorce" court. Then at any time during the day we are treated to SPAM:  Paid Programs.  Duh?  Have they not learned from the INTERNET that people hate spam? Again, thank goodness for remotes.  They are simply lazy and cheap fill in  programs that are basically  geared to people who have the IQ  of about 3 steps below that of a well trained Airedale.
How long do we have to watch "survivor?"  How long do we have to put up with "American Idol?"  It would seem that America has enough idols to worry  about.  Then there is  large doses of the Biggest Loser.....they have named that program correctly.  These people may  struggle to overcome what is largely their own fault, and I am glad that they have come their senses...but tons  of emotion and weigh ins and the proverbial "where did I go wrong?"  Everyone knows that America is full of obese people, especially children, and so the right messages have not been followed in the first place.  If a person has a disability that causes problems with weight that is one thing and they deserve our compassion and help....but for the others--think with your mind and not your stomach and let us watch something much better on TV than your stupidity.
Thanks goodness that we are able to view 4  Public Television HD stations in our area.  Those people (WNEO) have it all together and we do not have to put up with the trash of the main networks.  If the Survivors and Losers and Idols and crazy chefs are what main street Americans want, this country is is serious trouble.  It is already plagued by day and night time  soap operas under the guise of good television.

I am tired of Face Book

It seems that every where you go you have to be a member of Face Book in order to post something online.  I am sure that the owners of Face Book are happy about their success, but they are in fact forming what amounts to be their own "country." It seems to me just to be a big power grab and while it is a "service" so is the likes of the US federal government, and we all know how that thing works, or doesn't.  People get caught up in fads that they do not pay much attention to reality.  They will stand in line to buy a new electronic item or even worse all night to get the first seats in a movie that is much hyped even if it is done well.  The media will be sure to notice all this and give it further energy, but that is what the media does.
Remember it was the media that first suggested that gasoline prices would be above four dollars by May and perhaps hit five dollars. This  gave the speculators all the incentives they needed under the guise of worrying about Iran.
Yes, we are becoming media junkies.  While the INTERNET has supplied us with many great benefits, "take overs" with demands that this service is "required" is intellectual communism at its worse.  Go ahead and be a slave to some "service" if you will.  In the long run there are sure to be many good consequences and a lot of bad ones.  Is compromise really worth it in the end?  Am I the only one in the world not on Face Book?  Who really cares?  I certainly do not.

Why cosmologists seem to hate the word "creation."

Mankind has been seeking an explanation as to why and how things are. Physicists and cosmologists have developed mathematical formula that explain their more recent conclusions. Keep in mind that their conclusions and observations as well as mathematical formula are products of the human mind and limited by its capacity and ability to “conclude.” They may assume that they are certain about things but the fact is that they are not “there” yet. Their search is aided not only by mathematical formulas of their own invention but also the canonization of what they term “universal laws” that mysteriously exist without any explanation. Their approach certainly has some small amount of validity but they may also want to consider ancient concepts and apply them to our present situation. Consider the “logoi.” In ancient philosophies the logoi are sometimes referred to as patterns for everything that exists, but they can only be known indirectly or reflectively. In some ways this concept is similar to the idea of “information” as put forth by the proponents of string theory. Some cosmologists insist that everything that we can observe in our universe today is the result of exploding stars. Interesting since the first words that God theoretically speaks in the Bible is, “Let their be light,” a cosmic Big bang if there ever was one. The question we must ask is what was contained in that “light” and can we accept an irrational concept of the universe “creating” itself?

Sometimes explanations such as logoi are rejected because they have religious or mythic overtones and maybe this rejection is in haste. In the Holy Bible we hear things like: “Let us make man in our own image.” Humans in the Bible were made in the image of God but according to the same Bible are not God. Image is the key word here. That leads us to wonder how that is possible or what it means. In the Book of Exodus, Moses wanted to “see” God but he could not. Instead he was allowed only to view his shadow or image or reflection, or perhaps the logoi of God meaning here meaning God's patterns for creation..

Let us assume the reality of logoi as patterns of existence and/or information. Both Hawing and Susskind believe that the “information” of the universe cannot be lost even in a black hole scenario. In order to understand how the logi may apply here we have to grasp another principle that is used much in scholastic philosophy and theology and that is consubstantiality. Consubstantiality means simply that things are of the same substance. All human beings, for example, share consubstantiality in their human nature. Those who propose string theory could add a further distinction in claiming that while all that exists shares the same substance, that sharing is due solely to the information reflected by the logoi, with whom we are not consubstantial but simply participants. This indicates that there is a further principle or element which we might call”Being” that subsists as the fundamental cause of the logoi.

Humans and all that exist have a natural vibration of existence with each other and every other thing precisely because they share only in the effects of the logoi. Creation remains distinct from the logoi yet humans and the elements are consubstantial with each other. Some cosmologists claim that the entire earth also has a vibration in response to all existence (reflective because of the logoi) and if measured corresponds to e flat on the music scale. As Spock would say: fascinating! At best, the universe as we know it may be

an imperfect reflection of the perfect.

What a Democrat said to me

     I am a registered Democrat.  But I am so ashamed of my party these days. It seems that those who pushed for Obamcare  are the same ones whose  constituents and friends are given waivers.  My party does not have the ability nor the will to come up with a Federal Budget thus creating instability in the government and the nation.  They also do not have the ability nor the will to cut their run away spending and are more interested in playing politics and keeping in power.  Now they are trying to use scare tactics --which many senior citizens fall for -- claiming that the Republican party's plan for Medicare will mean a death sentence for Medicare. 
     Even I know that is not true.  In fact billions of dollars have been "raided" from Medicare to boost Obamcare in order to provide health insurance for those who deserve it, so they say. They claim to be cutting out fraud from Medicare in order to do this.   What seniors must know is that  because of this, we will probably lose about 40% of all Medicare providers.  In the meantime, Obamcare has a panel that will decide if the care you really need will in fact be given to you, and of course if you are a senior and not expected to live -- according to their standards -- you will be denied the care that you need and deserve.  But we are democrats.  By the way, the existence of this "panel" was not included in the health care bill but hidden in one of the  so called failed stimulus packages.  The members are already being chosen and Seniors are going to pay a huge price.  But we are Democrats.  This is the way our own party is treating us?  How can this be?  we have been loyal supporters all our lives. 
     They say that you are what you eat.  I guess, he told me, that you get what you vote for.  Check out the benefits of a person who serves in the congress for just one term and compare those benefits to what you get or even better compare them to what a soldier who serves for 30 years receives.  Better yet, check what benefits the members of congress and their staff receive compared to what you received and what your children receive.  Recently congress gave themselves a $3000 per month -- that is right per month raise.  People on Social Security have not received a raise in benefits in two years.  Congress also bases the benefits for seniors on the magical CPI (Consumer price Index)  which conveniently leaves out fuel and food prices....that way they can claim that inflation is low.  But we are Democrats.  Those poor people in Congress.  They are exempt from Obamcare, Medicare, Social Security and so many things that are supposedly good for the rest of Americans.  But we are Democrats and you get what you vote for.  they are so good and trusting people, those Democrats...my union tells me how to vote for the right democrat.  Isn't it a wonderful world.
     My friend called me today and told me that he is considering joining the Tea Party movement.  I wish him well because I believe that the Republicans in the end are going to cave to the Democrats  as they usually do, despite all the rhetoric.
